How to Apply - Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky
The Foundation accepts proposals for funding only in direct response to a specific Request for Proposals (RFP) or grant solicitation issued by the Foundation. The Foundation will not review unsolicited grant requests except for requests for matching grant funds. Click here for more about Matching Grants and application guidelines.
Steps toward funding:
Step One: Familiarize yourself with the Foundation's What we Fund page on this website - are the Foundations focus areas for giving and grant initiatives consistent with the type of work conducted by your organization?
Step Two: Familiarize yourself with the Foundation's Grant Guidelines to determine whether your organization is eligible to receive funding by the Foundation.
Step Three: Sign up to be on the Foundation's mail/email list by visiting our Contact Us page. This way you will receive announcements regarding grant opportunties (RFP) and other activities such as free educational forums and announcements regarding opportunities to serve on the Foundation's Board of Directors or Community Advisory Committee.
Step Four: Once you receive an announcement of a grant opportunity (RFP), be sure to review it carefully to see that the goals of the initiative (RFP) fit with the kind of project you would like to do.
Step Five: Submit your proposal per the guidelines and due dates listed in the RFP.
Please feel free to contact the designated Foundation staff person indicated in the RFP for clarification or questions about the initiative, project ideas, due dates or related concerns.
